NCC Launch Activities Begin With Solidarity March in Lilongwe

Activities marking the official launch of the National Children’s Commission (NCC) have started in Lilongwe with a solidarity march from Mbowe to Crossroads Hotel, led by a brass band and attended by children, government officials and various stakeholders.

The event, which will be officially presided over by the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Welfare, Honourable Mary Navicha, MP, has attracted wide participation from civil society organisations, development partners, commissioners and community representatives.

Chairperson of the Commission, Bishop Vincent Mwakhwawa, is also in attendance, guiding the proceedings ahead of the formal launch ceremony at Crossroads Hotel.

The procession is currently en route to the hotel where the main event will take place.
